Demand Generation is a complex area that encompasses varying channels, systems, and processes. But if you Google “demand generation blogs”, you’ll probably come across the standard vendor blogs. They’re all well and good, but if you’re looking for a deep dive into demand generation tactics, they end up being a bit too product heavy.
Here are some blogs that I think do a great job of covering hands-on, tactical “How do I do this?” to “What’s the bigger picture?” strategy of demand gen and marketing.
Yes, you’ll find some vendor blogs and you’ll notice a lack of some of your favorites, but no one said this list would be exhaustive! These are just a handful of the blogs we <3 at Uberflip.

Joe, who runs Global Revenue Operations at Vidyard, shares hard tactical and strategic insights over at his blog on Revenue Engineer. I worked with Joe in Waterloo and he taught me a ton about automation, analytics and the importance of process & systems. He’s been there and done that so it’s great to learn from his insights and experiences.

I first came across Jenna’s blog when doing custom CSS styling on some pesky Marketo forms. She’s a consultant, marketer, and developer who shares her experiences, concepts of automation, CRM and emails. Give the blog a look, it’s worth reading through her posts.

While working with Perkuto on our migration, I came across some of the work Josh Hill. He has great Marketo-specific guides and how-tos which are super easy to follow and help architect the system the right way.

Everyone in B2B Marketing probably knows about SiriusDecisions, but in case you haven’t looked at them before, they’re a goldmine of great B2B Marketing & Demand Generation resources. They have two different blogs – Perspectives and Marketplace. Perspectives provides thought leadership and actionable content while Marketplace delves into the technology space. Both are great reads.

HBR probably isn’t the first thing that comes to mind while thinking of Demand Generation but they have in-depth and high-level articles on varying topics on marketing, sales, and where everything is going.

First Round Capital is an early-stage venture capital firm that runs First Round Review, an editorial magazine full of stories and first-hand accounts from the people behind iconic companies like ZenDesk, Airbnb, Salesforce and more. They have management, Marketing/PR, Sales & Product stories from the trenches. Although it provides more of a broader spectrum of business lessons, the stories and experiences are fundamental to any business.

Not strictly a B2B marketing blog, Mattermark has a great content and editorial team. While the editorial team is focused on financial and market analysis. The content & marketing team often share stories of sales/marketing and process alignment.

8. Funnel Cake
Funnel Cake runs a blog like an editorial operation. They share interviews with marketing and business front runners in a human way. Give it a read, you won’t be disappointed. Oh and their product is pretty wicked too! 🙂

Bizible is a fantastic multi-touch attribution tool that sits on top of your Salesforce instance. They don’t get a shout out just because we’re a customer (we are – full disclosure) but they’re also writing about demand generation, funnel metrics, and more.

The list above isn’t exhaustive by any means. There’s a ton of good stuff on the internet about demand generation. The thing to remember though is that there is such a wide area with different bits and pieces like brand, content, operations (marketing, sales, and revenue) paid, organic etc. that fit together. So always look tangentially for inspiration.
